Maureen Clara Mussomele Sinon, age 64, passed away surrounded by loved ones on January 27, 2026, in
Spotsylvania, Virginia. She was born on February 3, 1961, to Barbara Garver-Mussomele and the late John Mussomele in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.
Maureen adored children and dedicated most of personal and professional life to her love for them. She served as a school bus driver in various Virginia school districts for a total of 13 years. She was always delighted to spend time with her many nieces and nephews, later son, and eventually grand nieces and nephews. Maureen was also a dedicated member of her church, Ebenezer, where the worshiped and actively served in many events and groups throughout the years, including her bible study and MOPS.
Maureen always loved a trip and had a particular fondness of the beach. Many beach trips are cherished by her family and friends who experienced them with her. In recent years, she and her husband Chuck purchased an RV where they were able to peacefully reside together making memories and enjoying the outdoors.
Maureen is preceded in death by her father, John Mussomele.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Ronald Sinon Jr.; son Charles John Sinon; mother Barbara Garver-Mussomele; brother Tony Mussomele and wife Kim Mussomele; brother Johnny Mussomele and wife Ruby Mussomele; sister Jill Mussomele; sister Amy Mussomele Guevara and husband Carlos Guevara; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
A celebration of Maureen's life be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 161 Embrey Mill Rd. Stafford, VA 22554. Service will begin promptly at 11:00 AM with a reception to follow. We invite you to wear vibrant colors in honor of her joyful sprit. Bring your favorite stories and memories of her to share.
