Maurice "Nick" Copeland

Maurice "Nick" Copeland, aged 59, of McAlpin, FL, passed away on March 25, 2026. Born on October 8, 1966, to the late Guy and Shirley Copeland, Nick moved to McAlpin at the age of 9 and has been a proud resident of Suwannee County since 1975. A member of the Live Oak Christian Church, Nick was known for his big heart and passion for building airboats, air boating, fishing, building hot rods, restoring classic cars, and attending car shows. He touched many hearts and collected numerous friends along the way, cherishing time spent with family and helping friends.

Nick was a devoted husband, father, and friend who loved the Lord and took pride in all his endeavors. He is survived by his wife, Cheri Copeland; daughters, Natalie and Nikki Copeland; son, Casey Willis (Kasey); sister, Cheryl Cameron; and grandchildren, Tanner, Harper, Emory, and Nolen. He was preceded in death by his father, Guy Copeland; mother, Shirley Syms Copeland; siblings, David Copeland in August 1977; Cindy Shelton in February 2020; and Patty Garrett in June 2021.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 3rd from 4:00 - 6:00 pm at Daniels Funeral Home.
