Maurice Lee Wickstrom

Wickstrom, Maurice "Morrie", age 69, of Coon Rapids, passed away October 22, 2025
Morrie was born in Duluth September 29, 1956, to parents Mary Ann and Lee Wickstrom. He had a great childhood in Meadowlands, MN, where he enjoyed spending time in the woods and nature. He helped out at his grandparents' dairy farm, enjoying the memorable socializing around the kitchen table and family get togethers. After high school, he joined Duluth Local 563 Ironworkers apprenticeship program. Eventually he moved to the Twin Cities, joining Local 512, becoming a lifetime member and retiring after 42 years.
Morrie was a loving, devoted husband and father. His priority was having time at home to spend with his wife, Bridget, and sons Alex and Andrew. Morrie liked long hikes or bike rides. He enjoyed socializing with family, friends and neighbors. Morrie didn't need much for himself, but made certain that others had what they needed. He was a conscientious man who would not hesitate to stand up forwhat was right, fair and just. He was a great man.
Morrie will be deeply missed by his wife, Bridget; sons Alex and Andrew; brother Mark (Sherry) Wickstrom; aunt/uncle Phyllis and Darrel Koivunen; aunt Sari Svoboda; and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Lee and Mary Ann Wickstrom. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, Nov 6th, 11 AM with a visitation one hour before at The Church of St. Timothy, 707 89th Av. NE, Blaine.
