Mavis Pauletta Hall, a beacon of love and inspiration, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025, in her beloved Virginia, at the age of 76. Born on November 9, 1948, she lived a life full of grace, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.

Mavis was a woman of remarkable dedication and compassion. Her career was marked by her service as the USS Nimitz Ombudsman and her volunteer work with the Red Cross. She concluded her professional journey with a fulfilling role in the Virginia Beach School System, where she touched many lives with her warmth and generosity.

Beyond her professional achievements, Mavis had a rich tapestry of interests that brought joy to her and those around her. She was a talented craftswoman, finding joy in crocheting and crafting, and had a particular passion for creating beautiful Native American dolls. Music was a constant companion in her life, especially Christian music, which reflected her deep love for the Lord. Her love for dancing and her ability to "spread a table" made every gathering special, particularly during Christmas, when she created magical experiences with candy canes, beautifully decorated trees, and unforgettable dinners.

Mavis's zest for life and her loving nature were evident in every encounter. She was an inspiration to all who knew her, embodying joy and care in every moment. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Mary Rachael Plummer and Richard Albert Plummer; her beloved husband, Eugene Delmore Hall; and her sisters, Marlene DeBause, Kathy Mathias, and Faye Jordan.

Mavis is survived by her cherished children, David (Sherita) Hall, Christopher (Fran) Hall, and Jessica Hall, as well as her treasured grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sister Brenda Luke, nieces Katrina Luke and Kim Noakes, nephew Keith Luke, and great-niece Tabitha, all of whom will carry forward her legacy of love.

Mavis Pauletta Hall's life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and community. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
