In loving memory of Mavis Ann Many Horses (Kills Small) born on July 5,1951 of the late Virgil Many Horses and Madeline Oka, Brothers Weyland Many Horses and Leroy Tiona, Nephew Robert Many Horses.
Our mother was a beautiful and humble relative to many, a gift to us all. She traveled to many places growing up, attended boarding school.
Our mother fell in love with our father Sgt. Randolph Kills Small,
got married and had children (Loren, Ellen, Valdin, Angel in heaven Corinne, Adrienne, Randee, Brenda, Darnell, Darlis and Ardyce).
They shared many years together raising their children.
They both attended United Tribes Technical College, our father was in Carpentry and mother in Nursing Program. They both worked at the Aberdeen Area Youth Regional Treatment Center for many years, dedicated to encouraging and supporting the future generations. Later in life they have went their separate ways in divorce. But still supported one another in a good and respectful manner.
Our mother met Ronnie Cutt (Pa Pa Ronnie) they spent many years together enjoying life and working at the Aberdeen Area Treatment Center. Sharing their love and care for the youth, until they had mutual understanding to continue their paths separately.
Our mother has many friends and relatives who are dear to her.
Everyone enjoyed your time of laughs and prayers. She enjoyed life, traveled to pow wow's and always made time to go pray at ceremonies and church. She was a light of life, everything would be fine she said, "just have faith in your prayers, miracles happen every day".
Her favorite quote, when times were difficult. We are grateful to have shared a lifetime with you Mom, you will be dearly missed by many, staying strong in prayers on your journey. We love you sending hugs and love for you.
Kindly,
Charlie Rooks
