Max Allen Baugues, 93, of Lafayette, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Mulberry Healthcare.
Max was born August 29, 1930 in Kansas, IL, to the late Forest and Bertha (Pence) Baugues. He was raised in Dana, Indiana and graduated High School in 1950.
On June 7, 1953 he married the love of his life, Patricia Carol Moore in Mooresville, Indiana. They were married for 70 years before her passing on March 7, 2024.
Max was employed by Duncan Electric and Ice Cream Specialties. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Max is survived by four sons: Jim (wife, Sally) Baugues, Daniel (wife, Christie) Baugues, Tom (wife, Patti) Baugues and Philip Baugues; siblings: Mary Baugues and Donald (wife, Shirley) Baugues. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Along with his wife, Patricia, Max is preceded in passing by his parents, sister: Betty Conrad and brother: Leroy Baugues.
Visitation will be held from 1pm - 2 pm on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 2 pm with Pastor Michael Watson officiating. Interment will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Community Church of the Nazarene. I first met Max and Pat a few years back while helping with Pat's Mother Opal. They were wonderful people, and it was my pleasure spending time with them. They meant a lot to me.
