Max Lopez
Age 19 of Joliet, passed away in a tragic car accident on Saturday, May 6, 2023.
He was a son, brother and friend to many. Max was a genuine soul that made a connection with almost anyone he met. In the words of his coach, he was a tough kid, great teammate and a damn good football player. Max lives on through his family and friends, and his light will shine on them forever.
Max is survived by his parents, brother, sisters, grandparents, aunts, uncles, numerous cousins and friends.
The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road in Joliet. A celebration of Max's life with continue on Thursday, May 18, 2023 with closing prayers in the funeral home chapel beginning at 9:00 a.m. The funeral will then drive in procession to St. Patrick's Church, 710 W Marion Street in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow and Max will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet.

To the Lopez family-I am so sorry to hear about Max. He and his little sister lived nearby & use to play with my son. Many prayers to your family during this difficult time.
