Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Mt. Bethel Church in Summerfield with Pastor Olaf van de Klashorst officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service, beginning at 1:00PM and other times at his home in Summerfield.

Max was born on October 10, 1943, to the late Kenon and Mildred McCollum in Rockingham County. Max graduated from Bethany High School in 1962. Max loved working with the children in Awana’s and going on youth missions trips. More than anything, he loved his family and sharing his time and wisdom with others and sitting on the couch with his favorite dog, Sally.
