MAX E. MURRAY

HARTFORD CITY, INDIANA Max E. Murray, 66, Indianapolis, died Thursday, April, 1, 2010 in Kindred Hospital South, Greenwood. The son of Rex Dwight and Doris (Heckley) Murray, he was born June 15, 1943 in Wells County. He was raised near Pennville and graduated from Poling High School in 1961. A resident of Indianapolis since 1978, Mr. Murray was a salesman for Hardi Farm Equipment. Survivors include: his mother, Doris Murray, Pennville; one son, Hartford City Fire Chief Bret (Jara) Murray, Hartford City; two daughters, Stephanie (Roger) Kellogg, Columbia City and Sylvia Hubbard, Lakeland, FL; one brother, Bruce Murray, Pennville; one sister, Janet Ramseyer, Montpelier and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 6 in Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City with Pastor Larry Berry officiating. Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery. Friends may call at Waters Funeral Home from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 5 and after 9 a.m. Tuesday.
