Maxine Edwards, 92, passed away Friday, March 21, 2025, at Durant Nursing Home in Durant, MS.
Visitation will be Monday, March 24, 2025, at Culpepper Funeral Home in Kosciusko from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Unity Baptist Church. Burial will follow the service in Unity Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughters Shelia Taylor (James), Judy McPeters (Dale), and Sue Pritchard; her grandchildren Jeff Reed, Shannon Pritchard, Todd Pritchard, Jennifer Boland, Charles E. Hare, Brad Taylor, Brian Taylor, and Jennifer McPeters; her great-grandchildren Carson Ridell, Cynthia Ross, Kyle Wood, Sabrinia Wood, MK Wood, Brendan Taylor, Carver Taylor, Corbin Taylor, Hartley Simmons, Vivian Mathews, Conner Mathews, Rylah Hunt, Paislee Holland, Malcolm Taylor, Susie Lane Pritchard, Conner Pritchard, Allison Pritchard, Adam Pritchard, Cole Reed, Jake Reed, Colton Crosby, Jessa Crosby, and Kipton Kyle. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Maxine was a member of Unity Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents William Roy and Johnnie Brown McNeer; husband Jim Harvey Edwards; daughter Jane Reed; sisters Norma Weeks, Elaine Moss, Clara Hocutt, and Earline Cade; brothers W R McNeer and J L McNeer; and grandchildren Daniel Hare and Ana Claire Taylor.
