Maxine Hibbs, 84, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. Maxine was a loving wife, mom, mamaw, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a dedicated member of Cove Baptist Church 23 years. She enjoyed going to yardsales & peddler malls, and spending time with her twin sister. She had an interest in collecting coca cola memorabilia and making jewelry for others. Spending time with family and friends was most important to her and she will truly be missed by anyone and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She was born on June 22, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky. She is preceded in death by her Mother, Rose Hayes, Siblings, Charlotte, Ivan, and Joe.
Maxine is survived by her loving Husband of 66 years, Larry Ray Hibbs, Children, Mark L. Hibbs, Mendee R. (Marty) Hale, Rebecca L. (Jeremy) Wade, Grandchildren, Doug Hale, Tiffany Kitchens, Kendra Hale, Savannah Hibbs, Chance Hibbs, Hayley Phillips, Great-Grandchildren, Emily, Lilly, Trenton, Tristan, Leonna, Novali, Great-Great-Grandchildren, 3, Sister, Irene Parker, as well as a host of family and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel. She will be laid to rest at Fairmount Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
