Maxine Pickren Obituary
Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral service for Ms. Maxine Boatright Pickren, age 88, who passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at the Bacon County Hospital. Ms. Pickren was a native of Pierce County living most of her life in Jeff Davis County. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church but attended Union Springs Baptist Church.
Ms. Pickren is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-five years, Mr. Herbert Pickren, sons, Wayne Pickren and Ronald Alvin Pickren, grandson, Shane Hughes, great grandson, Trinity Pickren, brothers, Wilton Boatright, Herman Boatright, and Cecil Boatright.
Surviving are her children, Wendell Pickren (Linda), Rusty Pickren, Patricia White (Perry), Glenda Girtman (Neil), Terry Miles (Wayne); seventeen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brother, Billy Boatright (Myrtice); daughters in law, Patty Pickren, and Margie McLoon; sisters in law, Carrie Walker, Bessie Tuton, Marion O’Conner, and Dora Lewis.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. from the Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Merle Webster and Wayne Miles officiating.
Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Hazlehurst.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Nobles Funeral Home Chapel.
Active Pallbearers are Chris Hughes, Ronald Pickren, Michael Pickren, Greg Pickren, Garrett Miles, and Jeremy Adams.
Honorary Pallbearers are the members of Union Springs Baptist Church.
