Maxine Lee Weasenforth, 81, of E. Eagle Lane, Keyser, WV, died Friday, February 17, 2023 at her residence.
Born on January 28, 1942 in Keyser, WV, she was a daughter of the late William Barber and Cora (Eversole) Barber Armentrout. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest R. Weasenforth on April 12, 2000; a brother Russell Barber; two sons-in-law, Dennis Dye and Donald Thomas; a brother-in-law, Joseph Stickley and her canine companion "Shadow."
Mrs. Weasenforth was 1959 graduate of Keyser High School. A dedicated homemaker, she enjoyed reading, gardening and watching You Tube. She was a member of the Light House Assembly of God Church on Virginia Street, Keyser.
Surviving are her children, Ernest F. Weasenforth and Miki of Piedmont, WV, John J. Weasenforth, Stephen R. Weasenforth, Delores Jean Hicks and husband Brian and Donna Thomas, all of Keyser; 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother, John "Johnny" Barber and wife Shirley of Lake Station, IN; a sister, Linda Stickley of Keyser and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Friday, February 24, 2023 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 11:00. For those unable to attend, the service will be live streamed on the Smith Funeral Homes website on Saturday, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
