Rickey Allen Weasenforth

Rickey A. "The Wease" Weasenforth, 71, of N. Water Street, Keyser, WV, died Friday, November 7, 2025 at his residence.
Born on August 25, 1954 in Romney, WV, he was a son of Pauline E. "Polly" (Corbin) Weasenforth of Keyser and the late James R. "Jimmy" Weasenforth.
Rickey was a 1972 graduate of Keyser High School and was retired from the maintenance department at Potomac State College. He also was formerly associated with the former Stray Cat cafe in downtown Keyser. Rickey grew up in the era of rock-n-roll and his favorite artists were Led Zeppelin, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton. He also was a dedicated WVU Mountaineers fan.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, is his wife, April L. (Minshall) Weasenforth; his three sons, Joshua D. Weasenforth of Keyser, Jeremiah W. Weasenforth and wife Jessica of Bellaire, OH and Aaron Weasenforth and fiancee Bethany Sawyers of Keyser; seven stepchildren and seven grandchildren, Lilly, Daniella, Nolan, Nathaniel, Sofia, Joey and Charlee. Also surviving is his brother, Hal Weasenforth and wife Debbie of Keyser and his sister, Debbie Hannas of Florida.
Friends will be received at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Thursday, November 13, 2025 from 12:00 until 3:00 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted immediately following the visitation at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Randy Crowe officiating.
The family also invites all family and friends to attend a Celebration of Life Reception at the Keyser Moose Lodge, 570 S. Mineral Street, Keyser on Thursday beginning at 4:30 p.m.
