May Angela "Ann" Grace, age 83 of Amarillo passed away peacefully in her sleep, on Sunday, February 8th, 2026.
Viewing to be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Schooler Funeral Home at 4100 Georgia is from 11:00-12:00, then a private family graveside service will be held after with Ann being laid to rest next to her husband, Kenneth, in Washburn Cemetery, Washburn, Texas.
Ann was born May 5, 1942 to her parents Andrew Doyle Brewer and Margaret Emogene Brewer in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Ann married Kenneth Neil Grace in 1976 in Mexico. She came to Amarillo with her husband Kenneth, where he worked in bridge construction and later pipeline work. She was a devoted wife and homemaker, who traveled with him wherever his work took him.
When work settled down for Kenneth, they primarily stayed in Amarillo, where Ann took a job working for TSA Airport security at the Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport. She truly enjoyed the work she did, and loved meeting people flying in and out of the airport every day.
In her free time, she enjoyed waking up early to make the “fixins” for breakfast, which almost always included homemade biscuits and reading the newspaper. Days were filled with yard work. She loved tending to her outside plants, and making sure the yard was neat and tidy. She and Kenneth bred and raised Chow Chows and Great Pyrenees dogs and fell in love with them. They often had multiple dogs running around to keep them company. Then evenings included sitting with one another watching the news. After Kenneth died, Ann took to reading. She’d inevitably fall asleep every night reading a book, with her glasses still on her face, and a dog by her side.
She is survived by her sister, Norma Anderson (Brewer), daughters, Carla Roys (McGuire) and husband Johnny, Shannon Michaels (Grace)and husband Patrick, her son, Austin McGuire and wife Allyson, granddaughters LeAnne Grace, Lauren Michaels, Morgan Michaels, Sydney Roys, grandson, Colton Roys, great granddaughters, Hadley Roys, Teagan Smock, great grandsons, Samuel Roys, Luke Roys, Cohen Crenshaw, Brewer Crenshaw.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Grace; sister, Julah "June" Cooper, and brothers, Larry Brewer and John Brewer.
