Meagan Ashley McDonald, was born on May 8, 1992. She was the beloved middle child of Claudia and Michael Evangelo of Fort Valley, Georgia, and Tommy McDonald of Dallas, Texas who "loved her very, very much."
Meagan passed away on February 22, 2024. She is survived by her parents as well as her aunt Lydia Price (Tim) of Leonard, Texas, her sister Kristina McDonald of Chambersburg, PA, her brother Michael McDonald of Fort Valley, GA, her brother Ryan Evangelo (Christi) of Perry, GA, her sister Aleta Evangelo of Perry, GA, and her brother Eric Evangelo of Prosper, TX as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Milton and Helen Stolz of Sherman, Texas; her grandparents Rex and Winifred McDonald of Midlothian, Texas; her uncle Lloyd Stolz of Arlington, Texas; and her uncle Kelly Stolz of Sherman, Texas.
Meagan attended Howe High School in Howe, TX, and was a 2009 graduate of Northpark High School. Following graduation, Meagan traveled and spent time with family and friends. She assisted in the care of her nieces and nephews before settling in the middle Georgia area.
Meagan was energetic and fun, finding joy in being in the company of her family and friends. Her silliness and penchant for practical jokes kept those around her entertained while her gentle spirit and willingness to give to others made her a loyal friend. Through her kindness and her acceptance, Meagan was welcoming to others, making them feel important and loved even when she herself felt unable to face the challenges of life. Though she had her insecurities and fears, Meagan remained a caring individual who brightened a room with her enthusiasm and infectious laughter.
Abba House, a place of renewal and transformation, became a pivotal chapter in Meagan's journey. It was there that she found not only refuge from her struggles but also unwavering support, lifelong friendships, and the love of her heavenly Father.
Though her journey was not without its struggles, Meagan's spirit remained resilient. While her path may have taken unexpected turns, the love and faith she found at Abba House continued to guide her.
In honor of Meagan's memory and the profound impact Abba House had on her life, her family kindly requests that, instead of flowers, donations be made to Abba House. Your generosity will help continue their mission of providing solace, support, and transformation to others in need, just as they did for Meagan. My favorite memory of Meagan is having quiet time at Abba House. We had to be in quiet time at 6:00am weekday mornings. And in comes Meagan all "Bright & Chipper" saying with the biggest smile on her face "Good Morning!" I remember asking someone one morning "What the hell is in the water here!?" And she busted out laughing at me. She was always so sweet, energetic, and smart. She will be missed dearly. My condolences and prayers for her family in their time of grief.
