Megan Lane Guerra

Megan Lane Guerra, age 40, of St. Francisville, LA, went to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ on August 25, 2025. Megan was a tremendously loving and beloved mother and wife, the most genuine and faithful friend, and a tirelessly caring and dedicated daughter, sister, and aunt. Most of all, though, she was a servant of God. If you knew Megan, you had a chance to see what Jesus was like. Her devotion to the Father shone through in every aspect of life. To encounter her was to have a glimpse of Heaven on earth. Selflessness, devotion, purity, love, grace, and humility are the legacies she leaves. Megan is survived by her husband, Eddie Guerra, four beautiful children, Myla (14), Tallan (10), Asher (6), and Elliot (2), parents, Bill and Rita McDonough, and sister, Brittany Rishell. She is preceded in death by her sister, Tara McDonough, maternal grandparents, Fred and Ida Mae Carter, paternal grandparents, Ron and Louise Patterson, and Megan and Eddie's angel baby she now gets to meet and hold for the first time in Heaven. Megan served as the Women's Pastor at Healing Place Church of St. Francisville for 9 years, but had many serving roles from the time of her salvation 24 years ago. She touched, enriched, and changed so many lives for the better by living out the scripture of "follow me as I follow Christ" (1Cor 11:1). The funeral service to honor the life of Megan will be held on August 29, 2025 at Healing Place Church Baton Rouge in the Annex building at 19202 Highland Road, Baton Rouge, LA. Visitation will begin at 9:30am and Service will commence at 11:00am. The burial will be private to the immediate family only.
