Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Megan Nicole Massengill Blackman, age 37, of US Hwy 701went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at her residence. Funeral Services will be 11:00AM Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Beulah Hill Christian Church in Four Oaks. Burial will follow in the Hills of the Neuse Memorial Gardens in Smithfield. Rev. Sam Blackman will officiate.
Megan was born on July 18, 1986 in Wake County. She was a licensed beautician and homemaker, while also being involved in her home church, Beulah Hill Christian Church. She enjoyed preparing the Sunday service as the Worship Director and was also instrumental in leading the Grief Share program. Megan’s dream of bringing local churches together for an annual revival of singing and Praise came true as she worked diligently to organize this function in the Four Oaks Singing Grove. She was so full of life; joking, singing, and always trying to make everyone else around her happy. She always put her boys and husband John before herself. Megan enjoyed spending time with her family and friends by traveling to new places and experiencing new adventures.
Survivors include her husband of 1l years John William Blackman, Jr.; children, Jayden Wayne Blackman, and Maverick William Blackman both of the home; step-son, Justin N. Lucas of Wilson; mother, Marcia R. Warner and husband, Donald of Four Oaks; father, Ricky Massengill of Four Oaks; sisters and brother, Morgan Massengill of Four Oaks, Meredith Massengill of Benson, Miles Massengill of Clayton; nephew, Mason Young; special aunt, Vera Barefoot of Four Oaks; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Beulah Hill Christian Church in Four Oaks, and other times at the home.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Beulah Hill Christian Church, 1701 Keen Road, Four Oaks, NC 27524.
