MeKenzie Lynn Dabbs, of Vienna, MO and formerly of Steelville, MO, was born on Friday, February 28, 2003, in Rolla, MO, to Justin Lee Dabbs and Shalanna Lynn Harmon. She passed away in Vichy, MO on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at the age of 21 years, 9 months and 24 days.
MeKenzie graduated from Steelville High School in the Class of 2022. She had worked as a Certified Nurse's Aide at Vienna Pointe in Vienna, MO and loved not only her job but the people she helped. Her most important job however, was being a mom to her daughter, Shalanna, who was her entire world. She loved time spent with Shalanna, going to the park and to take her on outings. MeKenzie loved to sing and hang out with her friends and family. She especially enjoyed to talk about and to hear stories about her own mother, Sha, who passed away when MeKenzie was a young girl. MeKenzie will always be loved and missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Shalanna Harmon; grandmothers: Debbie Laws, nee Brooks and Mary Ellen Crawford, nee Kight.
MeKenzie is survived by her father, Justin Lee Laws Dabbs of Steelville, MO; mother that raised her, Kerry Bugbee of Catawissa, MO; significant other, Brenden Hollis of Vienna, MO; daughter, Shalanna Hollis of Vienna, MO; grandparents, Jack and Cheryl Harmon and Alan Laws all of Steelville, MO; siblings, Mikie Dabbs of Rolla, MO, Austin Dabbs and MaryLynn Dabbs both of Catawissa, MO; special cousin and best friend, Lexie Jackson of Steelville, MO; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation was from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, MO. Funeral Service immediately followed at 1:00 PM with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating. Burial was at the Harmon Family Cemetery in Steelville, MO.
