Melanie Yielding Obituary

Life Journey

Melanie Dee Yielding, 62, of Hazen, Arkansas, peacefully transitioned from this life on February 14, 2026. She was born on February 7, 1964, to Edith Weddle and Jerald White, both of whom preceded her in death.

Melanie was one of those rare and beautiful souls who would truly give you the shirt off her back. Her generosity knew no limits, and her heart was always open. She carried a caring spirit that made everyone feel welcomed, valued, and loved. To know Melanie was to know warmth, compassion, and unwavering loyalty.

She was like a mother to so many - protective, nurturing, and always ready with words of comfort, wisdom, or encouragement. Yet above all her roles in life, she cherished being a mother and grandmother. Known affectionately as "Meme," she found her greatest joy in her grandchildren. Her love for her family was steadfast and unconditional, and that love will continue to live on in each of them.

Melanie leaves to cherish her precious memories:

her devoted son, Blake (Leata) Simmons of Hazen, Arkansas;

her loving daughter, Summer Yielding of Hazen, Arkansas;

three beloved grandsons, Sterling Simmons, Vincent Simmons, and Legend McGee;

her siblings, Jerry (Kim) White, Shane (Krista) Weems, and Deborah White, all of Hazen, Arkansas;

along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure her life and legacy.

Her love was constant.

Her heart was open to all.

Though the void she leaves behind can never be filled, her spirit will remain forever in the hearts of those she loved.
