Mrs. Melinda Kay Henry, 68, Jefferson City, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025. She was born July 8, 1957 in Guthrie, OK., a daughter of the late Thomas M. and Delores June (McGee) Howe. She was united in marriage to Dennis Henry who survives at their home.

As a skilled Gymnastics Coach, she opened and operated Gymzzouri Gymnastics in Jefferson City for many years. Melinda held an associate in interior design.

Melinda's passion for art and crafting was evident to all who knew her. She poured her heart into every piece she created, sharing her talent and joy with family and friends. Her artistic spirit was a source of inspiration, reminding us all to embrace our creativity and find beauty in the world around us.

Married to her devoted husband, Dennis Henry, for 50 wonderful years, they began their journey together at the tender ages of 17 and 19. Their love story was a testament to the strength of their bond, built on mutual respect, care, and unwavering support for one another. Together, they created a loving household where the warmth of their affection enveloped all who entered.

As a dedicated mother, Melinda homeschooled her two children, Devon and Caitlyn Henry, nurturing their minds and hearts with the same love she poured into her art. Her commitment to their education and personal growth was unparalleled, and she instilled in them the values of compassion, creativity, and hard work.

Melinda will be remembered for her brightness, loving nature, and caring spirit. She touched the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy of kindness that will continue to inspire those who knew her.

In addition to her husband: Dennis; she is survived by two children: Devon (Johanna) Henry of Henley, MO., Caitlyn Henry of Jefferson City, MO.; grandchildren: Kaydence Henry and Nylene Henry.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Thomas and Delores Howe.

Services for Melinda will be private for family and friends.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
