Melinda J. Keibler

1939 - 2026

Melinda J. Keibler, 86, of Greensburg, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026. She was born June 18, 1939, the daughter of the late Edgar and Mary (Hawk) Smail. Prior to her retirement, Melinda worked as a nurse. Melinda enjoyed motorcycle riding, gardening, cruises, and most importantly, spending time with family and her cat Buddy. In addition to her parents, Melinda was preceded in death by her two brothers-in-law, Merle and George; her son-in-law, William J. McCartney; and stepmom, Anne. Melinda will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 65 years, Dennis E. Keibler; as well as her children, Debbie McCartney and Dale (Michele Kelley) Keibler. She will also be missed by her siblings, Judy Neumann and Sally Bates; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a proud grandmother to Abigail (Hunter) Menear, whom she cared for deeply. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at VAIA FUNERAL HOME INC., 463 Athena Dr., Delmont (724-468-1177). There will be a service for Melinda at 11 a.m. the following day, April 3, 2026, also at VAIA FUNERAL HOME.
