Melinda Sue Saxon, 81, of Noblesville, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at her home. She was born on January 10, 1944 to Max and Vivian (Loer) Toombs in Anderson, Indiana.
Melinda was a secretary for Brown, Butz, and Diedring Funeral Home for many years before retiring. She enjoyed fishing, boating, and camping. Melinda loved traveling and going on cruises.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Richard Wayne Saxon; son, Robert (Jane) Saxon; daughter, Deborah Vaughn; sister, Julie (Doug) Jennings; brother, John Toombs; brother-in-law, Mike (Diane) Saxon; grandchildren, Robert Blaine Saxon, Rylee (Haley) Saxon, and Melinda Phillips; and great-grandchildren, Skyla Bruther, Ahria Bruther, Lyla Phillips, Layla Phillips, Everleigh Thompson, and Waverlee Saxon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandchild, Mariah Phillips; and son-in-law, Pat Vaughan.
Private family services will be held. The Saxon Family has entrusted Randall & Roberts Funeral Home with Melinda's care.
