Devine, Melissa Mary

Our beloved Melissa (Missy) passed away peacefully, in her sleep, and into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, November 9, 2025. Missy was a much-loved daughter, sister and aunt to her immediate family, as well as a special niece, cousin and friend to so many more.

Preceded in death by her mother, Mary M. Devine (nee: Ellis) of Chatfield, Mn. and three sets of grandparents, Missy was survived by her Father, Steven J. Devine (Deborah), brother Mark (Vasanth), half-sister Stephanie Kamen (Kyle), step-brothers Michael Dufort (Tara), Ernest Kidwell and eight nieces and nephews.

A 25+ year resident of Eagan, MN. Missy was one of the first clients for New Challenges, Inc. and was dearly loved by all her staff and house-mates. An Employee of ProAct, Inc. (originally Owobopte), Missy earned both the Service Award for 25 years of Service and Loyalty, and the Humanity Award for her Positive Attitude and Making a Positive Effect on Others.

Missy lived life to the fullest through travel, dances, softball, bowling and other outings. She most loved hanging out with her family on her birthday, holidays and special occasions. She also loved being with her house-mates and best friends, watching movies, game shows and cartoons. A big Vikings fan, Missy never missed an opportunity to talk with her Dad about the latest game.

Missy was known by all as a social butterfly, always bringing great smiles, warm hugs and her classic line, "How you doin'?" Her passing leaves a big whole in this world and she will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Faith Covenant Church, 12921 Nicollet Avenue, Burnsville, MN. 10am visitation, 11am service followed by a luncheon.
