Melissa Jo Dickson

Melissa Jo Dickson, born August 2, 1963, in Philippi, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026, in Shadyside, Ohio, at the age of 62.

Melissa had a deep love for the outdoors and found her greatest peace in nature. She especially enjoyed camping, where she could slow down, breathe in the fresh air, and spend meaningful time with the people she loved most. Those moments in the outdoors created many treasured memories that will live on with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Paul and Tressie Sitko, and by her son, John Bashline II, who passed away in 2022.

Melissa leaves behind a family who loved her dearly, including her sons, Cody Dickson and Dakota Dickson; her cherished granddaughter, Nanami Dickson, who brought great happiness and light into her life; her brother, Paul Sitko and his wife, Edwina; and her dear friend, Dean Dickson.

In accordance with Melissa's wishes, no services will be held at this time. Though she may be gone from this world, her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
