Melissa passed away Friday, March 21, 2025 in Ogden, Utah.
She was born to Lance Hunting and Sherrie Ross Hunting on February 3, 1977. Melissa grew up in West Point Utah. She was lucky enough to grow up next to her great grandparents whom she adored. She was involved in 4-H, junior posse, FFA, and high school rodeo. She had a wonderful childhood. She graduated from Clearfield High in 1995.
Melissa married Jeffrey Gideon on October 16, 2000. They were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on October 19, 2007. Together they had four children. They got to raise their kids by moving back and forth from Woodruff Utah to Promontory on Deseret land and livestock where Jeff works. Jeff dedicated his life to making her happy. She knew how lucky she was to have him.
Melissa got to homeschool her children while living on the beautiful ranch. In 2010 they moved to Plain City, Utah. She loved having her Dairy cows, chickens and border collie dogs. As her kids got older Melissa went back to college and accomplished a lifelong dream of getting her nursing degree.
