Melissa Kay Grissom

Melissa Kay Watzlavick Grissom, age 48 of McEwen, TN, passed away on Monday January 1, 2024, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN. Melissa was born on February 17, 1975, in Houston, TX, to Irene Urban Watzlavick and Alphonse Watzlavick, Jr. Melissa was very spiritual, loved God, and her family. She collected rocks, listened to music, and enjoyed nature. She was a hairstylist for 20 years. Melissa will be remembered as loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Left to cherish her memory is her son: Ethan Grissom (Lindsey), Clarksville, TN, Daughter; Alli Grissom, Dickson, TN, Grandson; Parker Grissom, Clarksville, TN, Sisters; Renee Whaley (Allen), McEwen, TN, and Julia Watzlavick, Dickson, TN, and Nieces; Mekenzie Whaley, and Hannah Whaley.

She is preceded in death by her parents Alphonse and Irene Watzlavick.

Visitation and Services for Melissa will be held at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in McEwen, TN, on Friday January 5, 2024, beginning at 10 AM until the service time at 2 PM.  Interment will be at Meadowlawn Cemetery in McEwen, TN.
