MELISSA LEE

Melissa Wilder Lee, aged 57, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center with her loving family by her side.

Melissa was born on September 8, 1968 in Pontiac, Michigan to the late Waylen and Bernice Wilder.

I addition to her parents, Melissa was preceded in death by her two sisters, Myra Goodenough and Michelle Wilder.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Bill, and her two children, Amanda (Corey) Goodin and Logan (Jenna) Harper, her grandchildren, whom she loved with all her heart, Waylon and Ellie Goodin and Carson Brooks, and one brother, Johnny (Denise) Wilder, as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends that loved her very much.

Melissa was a member of the Barbourville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was baptized on June 8, 2019. As a Christian, her generosity was extended to everyone she knew or met. Whether in her ministry or for friends and family, she was always doing for others or looking for ways to help others. She lived the spirit of Acts 20:35. Jesus himself said: "It is more blessed to give than to receive." Her happiness was in giving and she gave with her whole heart.

She cherished her family deeply, both her relatives and her spiritual brothers and sisters. Although our hearts are hurting, we also look forward to the hope she was certain of, God's promise at Revelations 21:3-4, of the time when death, pain and mourning will be no more.

Visitation hours will be Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Green Hills Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2026 at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel.

Inurnment to immediately follow at the Wilder Cemetery, Calvin, Kentucky.
