Melissa Shawver Obituary
She was born August 30, 1973 in Marion to Charles Dale and Linda (Armstrong) Craig, they survive in LaRue.
Melissa was a 1992 graduate of Elgin High School. She worked in food service at North Union High School for over 10 years, and before that she had worked at Elgin Jr. High School.
Melissa was all about family, she was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and most importantly grandmother. Her whole life was centered around being with her family.
She loved to go camping in Jackson, Michigan.
Surviving is her husband, Douglas John Shawver, they were married April 16, 1994. Also surviving are her daughters, Megan Elizabeth (Bryan Jr.) Shawver-Boles of LaRue, Alison Rashell (Austin Curtis) Shawver of Columbus and Sydney Marie Shawver of LaRue.
Siblings, Melonie (Ryan) Bumgarner of LaRue, Michelle (Carl) Craft of Marion, Nicki (Josh) Carr of Marion, Becky Craig of Cardington and Bradley (Sara) Craig of Marion.
One special granddaughter, Charlotte Lynette Boles
Melissa is also survived by many nieces and nephews who dearly loved her and considered her the "cool aunt"
Funeral services will be held Friday June 20, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue. Pastor Chris LeMaster will officiate. Friends may call Thursday from 4-7 pm at the funeral home in LaRue.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1379 Dublin Rd., Columbus, Oh 43215
