Brenda Kramer Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home - LaRue on Jan. 8, 2026.
Brenda Clixby Kramer, age 73 of Marion, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday morning, January 7, 2026, after a courageous 2-year battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family and her cherished cats, a comfort to her until the very end.

Brenda was deeply grateful to have lived long enough with her illness to witness several precious milestones she had set for herself. She welcomed the birth of her great-grandson, Bowen, attended the wedding of her granddaughter Rylee and shared one final holiday season with her entire family-moments that brought her immense joy and peace.

Brenda was a 1970 graduate of Ridgedale High School. She worked several years as an Administrative Assistant at WMRN Radio in Marion before dedicating herself to raising her family. During that time, she also served the Ridgedale School District as a part-time cook and bus driver. As her children grew older, she joined her husband, George, as part of a tandem truck-driving team, traveling the roads together for nearly 15 years, an experience that strengthened their bond and created many lasting memories.

Above all else, Brenda treasured time spent with her family. She was happiest when surrounded by those she loved and enjoyed bingo, card games and casinos. Her life was rich with shared stories, laughter, and devotion.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Roberta (Sharp) Clixby; her birth mother, Janice Lafferre; her brother, Terry Clixby; her grandmothers, Sarah Jane Berridge and Helen Keltner; and her dear cousin Lois Schmidt.

On April 8, 1991, Brenda married her soulmate, George Kramer, of Marion, who survives. Also surviving are her children, Daryl Neville of Columbus and Lori Kramer of Marion; her brother Curtis (Debra) Istre and family of Louisiana; her grandson, Avery Neville; two granddaughters, Rylee (Colton) Wasserbeck and Alyson Kramer, and her great-grandson, whom she adored, Bowen Blevins. She is also lovingly remembered by many brothers- and sisters-in-law, as well as extended family and friends.

Brenda will be remembered for her strength, her devotion to family, and the quiet grace with which she lived her life. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held Monday January 12, 2026 at 11:00 am at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue. Chaplain Doug Ford will officiate. Burial will follow in the Frame (Meeker) Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 pm at the funeral home in LaRue.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Wyandot County Humane Society 9640 Co Hwy 330 Upper Sandusky, OH 43351

I met Brenda around 1970 and watched her become a sweet young woman. Over the years we kind of lost track of each other, but I did get to visit with her at a Morral fire festival a few years ago. My heart goes out to the family. God Bless

My deepest sympathies to George and all of the family. Brenda was a great friend. I'm glad she was able to spend time with her family. You could tell from the smiles in pictures how much she enjoyed it. May
God be with you and help you through this difficult time.
