Melissa Lynn Steele, 38, passed away unexpectedly at her home on February 14, 2025. She was born on November 23, 1986, in Twentynine Palms, California, to Doug and Tammy Steele.
Melissa grew up alongside her brother and graduated from Simley High School before earning multiple certifications in childcare training. From a young age, she had a deep passion for caring for children, which she turned into a career. Most recently, she worked at Creative Wonders in Inver Grove Heights, where she was known for her kindness, dedication, and the love she poured into the children she cared for.
In 2016, Melissa welcomed her greatest joy, her daughter, Aliyah. She also had a deep love for dolphins and treasured time spent with her family and friends.
Melissa is survived by her daughter, Aliyah; her mother, Tammy; her father, Doug; her brother, Mark (Chrystal); her cherished niece, Savanah; nephews, Max and Ezekiel; and many beloved cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Karen and Paul Schmidt, her uncle, Mike and her beloved cousin, Jason.
