She loved to dance and, until the last few years, regularly attended VFW, American Legion, Moose and other organizations who featured a dance floor and a band. She carried an inner joy that radiated to everyone around her, making every moment spent in her company a cherished memory. Her grandkids and great grands expected to have a good time whenever they were with her. Mellionee dedicated many years to her career, retiring after a long tenure at Willis Knighton Shreveport. Locals will fondly remember her as a familiar face at West Gibson's in Leesville, where her warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on the community.
