Melo Bufano Obituary

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Melo Bufano on Saturday, August 16, at the age of 66.
He was a graduate of Henninger High School and retired from CNY Medical Products. He loved bowling, fishing, shooting pool at Shifty's with friends, and was a voracious reader. Melo was a gifted pianist, playing in bands and entertaining people over the years. He was as quick with a joke as he was with a kind word, and anyone who met him became a friend. Melo was a beloved member of his entire family.
He was predeceased by his parents, Rocco and Stella Bufano.
He is survived by his brother, Domenic (Katherine) Bufano; sisters, Tina Snyder and Sister Laura Bufano, CSJ; aunt, Rosalyn Bufano; uncle and aunt, Joe and Madeline Bufano; several nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Special thanks are extended to Lenny LaPoint and Tom and Colleen Daddario for their unwavering support. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the phenomenal and compassionate care provided by the ER team and the entire staff of 7C and 6I at Upstate University Hospital.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, September 7th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at FARONE & SON, Inc. Funeral Home, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made at http://www.upstatefoundation.org or by check to Upstate Foundation, 750 E. Adams St., Syr. NY 13210 (Designate: Upstate Cancer Center).
