Melony A. Daya, 68 of 346 South Vine Street, Mt. Carmel passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, February 14, 2026 in her home.
Born at the former Ashland State Hospital on March 29, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Ruby (Mayer) Facer.
She was a graduate of Mt. Carmel High School.
Melony was married on May 9, 2019 to David Daya who survives.
She was employed for many years in the Advanced Cardiac Unit at Geisinger Medical Center. She was most recently employed part-time at Showcase Billiards and The Closet Door Resale & Consignment Boutique both in Mt. Carmel.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Troy Kisela and his companion Nicole Zarko of Shamokin and Keith Kisela of Mt. Carmel; four grandchildren, Brandon Kisela, Sophia Kisela, Connor Kisela and Danielle Kisela; one sister, Peggy Camp and her husband Foster of Mt. Carmel; two brothers, George Facer and his wife Sharon of Palmyra and John Facer and his wife Nancy of Bowling Green Virginia; two step-daughters, Jennifer Daya of Colorado and Didi Daya of Kulpmont; six step-grandchildren, Dion, Derick, Aarlynn, Maddox, Noah and Oakley; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Melony was preceded in death by one daughter, Jessica Kisela and one brother Roger Facer.
Religious services will be held on Friday February 20, 2026 at 11:00 with the Msgr. Francis J. Karwacki officiating at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market Street, Mt. Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz, III Supervisor. A viewing will be held on Friday morning from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at the funeral home.
