Melva Deen Beasley

Funeral services for Mrs. Melva Deen Beasley will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 1, 2022, at Galbraith Church of God, Hwy. 490, Lena, with Reverend Wade Merrell officiating. Interment will follow in Cleveland Cemetery, Lena, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.
Mrs. Beasley, 78, of Orange, Texas, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Jennie Sealy Hospital, Galveston, Texas.
She was of the Church of God faith, and also enjoyed attending Living Word International and Toledo Bend Baptist Church. She was a retired Elementary School teacher. She loved arts and crafts, fishing, and investing in real estate. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Almon Merrell and Ediloice Schmidt Bolton.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include three sons, James Guillory, and wife, Heather, of Sulphur, Bryan Beasley of Dallas, Texas, and Kevin Beasley, and wife, Liz, of Lake Charles; two daughters, Twyla Rivers of Flatwoods and Carmen Laughlin of Houston, Texas; three brothers, Marlin Merrell of Bridge City, Texas, Ronald Merrell, and wife, Anita, of Vidor, Texas, and Jerry Merrell of Flatwoods; twenty grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.
A time of visitation will be held at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Sunday, July 31, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at Galbraith Church of God, Lena, on Monday, August 1, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Luke Guillory, Bowen Smith, T. J. Knight, Ron Evans, Lance Evans, and Casey Laughlin.
