Melva Roach Adamson, age 90, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025, in South Jordan, Utah. She was born on August 19, 1934, in Park City, Utah, to Earl Soren Roach and Amanda Burgess Roach.
Melva led a rich and fulfilling life, marked by her passion for travel, ballroom and square dancing, crochet, and reading. Melva is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She always strived to make her way to the temple. Even when she wasn't as mobile as she once was. She found great joy in temple service and cherished family gatherings above all else.
She is survived by her loving sons, Robert Alan Patterson and Rick L. Patterson, and her devoted daughter, Sue Smart (Scott). Melva also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren who will deeply miss her presence.
Melva was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Larkin Sunset Gardens, located at 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, UT 84092. A viewing will be held prior to the services from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM. Interment will take place at 3:30 PM at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
