Together Again
Melvin Earl Bryte, 86, went home to be with the Lord on January 5, 2024.
Born in Uniontown, PA, he was a resident of Hartville. Mel graduated from Atwater High School and was employed at Mahoney Sash & Door for 15 years. He was a member of First Christian Church of Ravenna and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Mel was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; parents, Alice and Lloyd; daughter-in-law, Lori Bryte; sister, Joanne Whitlock; and brother, Berwyn Bryte. He is survived by his son, Greg (Emily) Bryte; daughters, Karen (Loren) Noel, Pamela (Dr. Mark) Hirko; grandchildren, Sean and Grant Francis, Geoffrey Hirko and Marie Collins, Kelsey, Seth, Cole, Sage, Graycen, Veyda, and Wren Bryte; great-grandchildren, Noah, Aiden, Sean Jr., Josh, Silas, and Issac Francis, Myles Metzger; brothers, Bob and Dave Bryte.
Family and friends will be received Sunday, January 7th from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Hopkins Lawver UNIONTOWN Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Avenue), Uniontown, Ohio 44685. A funeral service will begin at 4 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care, 3743 Boettler Oaks Dr. Suite E, Uniontown, OH 44685, or First Christian Church, 6251 Gladys St, Ravenna, OH 44266.
