Melvin Edward Robinson Sr., was born February 11, 1951 in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Clearance Shields and Irma Robinson. Melvin departed this life on August 6, 2024 peacefully at home with his wife, Sheron, son Alex and his wife, Amanda by his side.
On June 24, 2004, Melvin was united in marriage to Sheron Annette Curtis-Robinson for 20 years.
Melvin graduated from Linden McKinley High School and received an Associate Degree from The Ohio State University. Melvin was employed at Riverside Hospital in Medical Records where he retired after 20 years.
Melvin was a huge Ohio State fan. His passion was playing the keyboard, as well as playing chess. He loved being a dad and grandpa.
Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, Clearance Shields and Irma Robinson; son, John Mitchell.
Melvin leaves to cherish his life, a devoted wife, Sheron Annette Curtis-Robinson; three brothers, Steve (Lakisha) Calloway, Philip (Kesha) Calloway and Mark (Leclaire) Calloway; four sons; Eddie (Tiffani Elmore) Robinson, Kevin (Kelly Spurlock) Gordon, Tyrone (Regina) Hill and Edward Alexander (Amanda) Robinson; four daughters, Karmen (Kenny, deceased) Nelson, Marquica Wilson, Lisa and Briana Robinson; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and friends.
