Melvin Smith

Melvin Ray Smith, 75, was born May 29, 1950, and passed away December 22, 2025.
Melvin grew up in Pleasant Grove, where he was active in scouting with his dad and brother. He graduated from Samuell High School in 1968. After graduation, he went to work at Sears for 30 years.
Melvin and Tonie were married for 55 years and raised two sons, Richard and Keith. He helped coach sports teams, participated in Boy Scout Troop 108 for many years with his boys and loved to learn about history and his main hobbies were hunting and fishing.
Melvin is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Betty Smith; sister, Becky Smith; son, Keith Smith, and grandson Lane Smith.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Tonie Smith, and son, Richard Smith and wife, Cheryl; brother, Howard and wife Brenda; grandchildren (who knew him as "Gramps") Lynsey, Kaitlin, Jakob, Matthew and Mitchell; great-grandchildren, London, Max and Kaidence; niece Becky and nephew Brent.
Melvin will be missed by many relatives and friends.
