Melvin Lloyd Spinney

SPINNEY, Melvin Lloyd - age 90, of Bradenton, Florida, formerly of Harrisville and Davison, Michigan passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at his home. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of his Life will be held from 2-5 PM Saturday November 8, 2025 at the Pinebrook-Ironwood Clubhouse in Bradenton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children's Hospital in Melvin's memory.

Melvin was born in Flint, Michigan on May 20, 1935, son of the late Lawrence and Eldervine (Yauch) Spinney. He married Joyce (Wilcox) on August 20, 1955. He retired from AC Spark Plug in 1991. Melvin enjoyed flying his Piper Cherokee plane for many years, and was also an avid golfer. He was very involved in organizing the mens golf league where he lived. He married Sandra (Granger) on October 3, 2012. He loved spending time with his family and many friends.

Melvin is survived by his wife Sandra, children, Denise Schloegl (Michael), Michelle Fillmore (Douglas), and Mark Spinney. Melvin has seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his late wife Joyce.
