Melvin Wayne Stinchcomb, age 74, passed away peacefully at his home on April 18, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Wayne was born and raised in Georgia, his warmth, strength, and kindness touched everyone who knew him. He took pride in his roots and carried the values of family and friendship throughout his life.
A devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and great-grandfather, Wayne found his greatest joy in the company of his loved ones. Whether it was a quiet morning coffee with his wife, a Sunday afternoon cookout with his children, grandkids, or a day out on the lake with friends, he lived for those moments of fun and laughter.
A private celebration of life will be held in his memory.
Wayne is survived by his wife Judy Stinchcomb; sister Jane Darby (Larry); daughter Carmen Perry (Jeff); stepchildren Keith Steele, Brent Steele, Kristy Steele and Stacey Carroll (Mike), grandchildren Courtney Perry, Sarah Thiel (Ashley), Jeffery Perry, Amy Hutto (Brandon), Hanna Grimes (Patrick), Eloise Franklin, Ava Franklin, Zach Carroll, Haley Bassham (Sam); great-grandchildren Briggs and Ella James Hutto; nieces Amanda Shires (Kevin), Christina Benton (Sidney); nephew Kevin Kerbow.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, sister and brother-in-law Jack and Martha Jean Kerbow.
