Melvin Stout Obituary
Melvin Stout, age 88, of Ligonier, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at The Waters of Syracuse. He was born on June 26, 1937, to Lawrence and Madlyn (Curley) Stout in Fort Wayne, IN.
Melvin worked for Silgan Plastics in customer service for 35 years. He enjoyed boating, water skiing and fishing in his free time.
Mr. Stout is survived by his brother, Larry (Mary) Stout of Coldwater, MI and sister, Elsie (Wilbur) Chupp of Goshen.
Melvin was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Edward and John Stout; sister, Joyce Osborn; and a special friend, Lu Richmond.
A funeral service held in Mr. Stout’s honor on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway S, Ligonier, IN 46767. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Eden Cemetery in Topeka, Indiana.
