Melvin Wright Obituary
Melvin Wright, age 86, of Strasburg, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Rose Lane Health Center.
He was born on September 8, 1938, in Dennison, Ohio, to the late Charles and Golda (Abbubl) Wright.
After high school, Melvin proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Following his service, he built a long career in the steel industry, retiring from the Eaton Corporation after 24 years of dedicated work.
Melvin was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruth Wright, in 2021, and by his son, Gary Wright.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Deborah Espenshied; stepdaughters, Kathy Abbot and Patti (David) Stryker; stepson, Bill (Kerry) Beach; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchild; 1 great-great grandchild; and nine siblings.
In honoring Melvin’s wishes, there will be no public services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in his memory.
