Meredith Miller Faix, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished member of the Newtown community, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025, at the age of 88. She was born on November 19, 1936, in West Chester, Pennsylvania, to the late Wesley Knapp Gibson and Juanita Mildred Miller.
Meredith was a woman of quiet grace and deep strength. After graduating high school, she dedicated much of her life to caring for her family as a homemaker, while also building a professional life as an administrative assistant in the school system and holding positions at Melitta Coffee and ADP. In her younger years, she found joy in creative pursuits-modeling and tap dancing-expressions of her vibrant and artistic spirit.
On the personal front, Meredith shared nearly 67 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Carl Robert Faix, Jr., whom she was to celebrate that milestone with this coming November. Together they raised three children, Glenn R. Faix (Isabel), Cathy Dippolito (Kevin), and Nancy Saldutti (Anthony) who were the pride of her life. She was also the proud grandmother of six grandchildren, all of whom brought her immeasurable joy.
In her later years, Meredith embraced the peacefulness of retirement in Lancaster, where she pursued her love of quilting and found contentment in the simple pleasures of home and family. Her life was a testament to love, resilience, and creativity-a legacy that lives on through her family and all who were fortunate to know her.
A private service will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Meredith's name to a charity of personal significance.
