Merilee (Rawls) Brawner went home to be with her Lord and Savior in the early morning hours of December 3, 2024. She was born in Gantt, Alabama on February 8, 1931 to Judson Auburn Rawls and Frances Isabell Merrill Rawls.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, December 6, 2024 at Foreman Funeral Home with interment following in the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services on Friday, December 6, 2024 at Foreman Funeral Home.
Preceding her in death, her husband, Robert Clyde Brawner, Jr.; her parents, Judson Rawls and Frances (Rawls) Andress; brother, Huey Thomas Rawls and sisters, Laura Wright and Anna Raye Hamilton.
Merilee is survived by three sons: Mike (Angel) Brawner, Tim (Dawn) Brawner, and Chris (Rene') Brawner. Grandchildren: Ashton (Anthony) Clark; Hayden Brawner, Zackary Brawner and Rachel Brawner Step Granddaughter: Kelcey Faltysek
Great-Grandchildren: Brawner Dempsey, Hudson Clark, Ada Katherine Clark Step Great Grandchildren: Mathew Martelli, Steven Faltysek and Gary Faltysek
Merilee was a loving mother and wife spending many years on different military bases as she traveled with her husband, Robert, during both his Navy and Air Force careers. She worked as a hairdresser in her home having graduated from Parker Beauty School with a license in Cosmetology. Later in life, once settled back on Point A, Merilee worked as a seamstress at both the Andala and Alatex in Andalusia. She was an avid gardener always maintaining a beautiful yard. Merilee believed the greatest blessings in life are your children and family.
