Micaela Orona

Micaela (Mickey) Orona, 82, of Pecos, Tx, passed away on April 20, 2024 in Pecos, Tx. surrounded by her family. Mickey was born in Pecos, Tx. to Antonio and Maria Orona on January 21, 1942. Mikey was a caregiver to her mother for most of her life. She was considered a second mom to all of her nieces and nephews but especially to Barbara Herrera, Frankie Orona, and Thomas (Bino) Orona Jr., whom she helped raise. Mickey loved dancing, spending time with her family, knitting, listening to music, and solving puzzles.

MIckey is preceded in death by her parents Antonio and Maria Orona, siblings Manuel Orona, Beto Madrid, and Manuela Mariscal, nephew Thomas Orona Jr., and brother in law Ernesto Jaramillo.

Mickey is survived by her siblings Elena (Danny) Rubio, Hortencia Jaramillo, Alfred (Tina) Orona, Mike (Elvira) Orona, Thomas (Frances) Orona, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 9 am to 9 pm., and Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 9 am to 9 pm., Rosary at 7 pm.

Funeral Mass will be held at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church on Friday 26, 2024 at 10 am with Interment following at Santa Rosa Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Michael Chabarria Jr., Matthew Chabarria, Daniel Rubio Jr., Elijah Rubio, John Orona, Frankie Orona, Michael Orona, and Joel Jaramillo.
