Michael Wayne Absher, 74, of Bessemer City, passed away at Caromont Regional on August 5, 2024. He was born April 16, 1950, in Gaston County, to the late Ernest Clyde Absher and Sarah Wilkins Grant.
He is preceded in death by his parents; spouse, Linda Kay Little Absher; brothers, Steven Clarance Absher and Gary Stewart Grant.
Michael loved to play golf on Mondays and Fridays, and he did not miss those days. He enjoyed giving people a hard time with his great sense of humor. Michael was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend to all. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memories are sons, Steve Absher (Elizabeth), Chris Absher (Jessica); brothers, Don Grant (Vickie), Clyde Absher (Diane); sister, Denise Price; grandchildren, Gavin, Graham, Shelby, Sullivan, Sadie, Stella, and Shepherd; along with numerous nieces and nephews; numerous golf buddies; also, Lil Dan’s restaurant family and friends from Virginia Avenue Auto.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home on Saturday, August 10, 2024.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be to Shriners Children of Greenville, LovetotheRescue.org.
