Michael Gerald Adams Sr., 82, of Douglasville, GA passed away on August 22, 2025. He was born on October 15, 1942, the son of the late Ralph Adams and the late Gladys Adams.
Michael dedicated his life to the ministry, serving as a Pastor as well as a Missionary to multiple countries, and touching countless hearts with his gentle spirit and wisdom.
A man of great integrity, Michael embodied the true essence of pastoral care. He was not just a leader but a "safe spot" for many, a trustworthy confidant who always prioritized others' needs. Those who were fortunate enough to know Michael were often greeted with the warmth of his presence-he made each person feel like they were the most important individual in the room.
With Doctorate Degree and a faith that inspired many, Michael was a wise man whose words carried significant weight. He was a great listener, known for his thoughtful approach to conversation. Slow to speak but impactful when he did, Michael offered sage advice that resonated deeply with friends and congregants alike. Michael's genuine nature and the kindness he radiated made him a beloved figure in his community.
Michael's gentle demeanor earned him affectionate titles such as "gentle giant." He was a man who truly loved everybody and treated them equally, consistently sharing his time and energy to uplift those around him. This selflessness defined his character, as he continuously placed the concerns of others before his own desires, reflecting the heart of a devoted Pastor.
As we honor Michael's memory, we celebrate a life devoted to service, compassion, and love. Michael will be profoundly missed by all whose lives he touched, and his legacy of kindness will continue to inspire future generations.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Rhetha Elliott and Dorothy King; and brothers, Tom Adams, Don Adams, Frank Adams, and Bill Adams.
He is survived by his loving wife Karin Louise Moser Adams; daughters, Debbie Ward (David), and Brenda Reyes; sons, Mike Adams Jr. (Tammy), Matthew Adams (Rhonda), Stephen Adams and Samuel Adams (Candace); sister, Diana Adams; eleven grandchildren, Adam Ward (Abigail), Amanda Woods (Scott), Joshua Adams (Tatiana), Jonah Adams, Jacob Adams, Gabriella Adams, Walker Adams, Sophie Adams, MacKenzie Keen, Ethan Adams, and Willow Adams; eleven great-grandchildren, Bryson Balboa, L J Adams, Judah Adams, Heinrich Adams, Ines Adams, Beckett Woods, Johannes Adams, Ezekiel Woods, Adelaide Adams, Journey Adams, and Hugh Adams; and numerous nieces and nephews.
