Michael Edward Aiken, age 73 of Blenheim, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at McLeod Regional Medical Center.
Michael was born August 8, 1950, in Wellford, SC. He was a son of the late Marjorie Brown. Michael was a retired truck driver. He worked five years at WalMart after his retirement. Michael attended King's Gate Church in Hamlet, NC. Michael loved the Lord first and foremost. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, racing, and being outdoors. He loved music. Michael had a DJ service and enjoyed singing. He was also a fan of Elvis. Michael enjoyed spending time at the beach. Most of all, Michael loved everybody, especially his family.
Michael is survived by his son, Michael Aiken (Wendy) of Andrews; his former wife, Clarise Richardson of Loris; Clarise's daughter, April Floyd of Loris; a sister, Mary Burris (Walter) of Monroe, NC; grandchildren, Sheila (Kyle), Morgan, Makayla, Dustin (Brittney), Ryan (Amanda), and Haley (Ridge); eight great grandchildren; Mr. and Mrs. C T Brown of Greer; several other extended family members also survive.
A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Michael's life will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Burroughs Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Michael's honor to King's Gate Church 161 Sierra Ave. Hamlet, NC 28345.
