Michael Joseph ALJ

The Honorable Michael Joseph Wallace, 71, of Sykesville, Maryland, passed away suddenly on October 21, 2025. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on December 2, 1953, to Margaret Weitzel Wallace Hanley and the late Joseph Hauf Wallace (2001). He was a graduate of Randallstown High School, University of Baltimore (undergrad) and University of Baltimore School of Law. He worked for the Office of Administrative Hearings for the State of Maryland for over 30 years and held the position of Administrative Law Judge (ALJ). He met the love of his life Barbara Grace Bellin, and they married in September of 1989, enjoying 36 years of marriage.

Mike had many interests and hobbies. He loved watching and playing sports. He was physically active playing hockey, football, lacrosse, fast pitch softball, and golf. He especially loved mountain biking with his dog and friends as well as keeping up with trail maintenance. He enjoyed cheering on the Baltimore Colts and Ravens as well as the Orioles and Washington Capitals. He enjoyed vacations with family and friends and created many memories at special places like Deep Creek Lake, Sanibel Island, Sedona and golfing at their second home in Pinehurst, NC. After spending a fun filled day at the lake, beach, or trails he would enjoy listening to music while sipping a dirty grey goose martini or gin and tonic. His interest and hobbies were second to his wife Barbara, his daughter Kelly and his beloved dog Tank.

In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by his daughter, Kelly Grace Wallace, and her fiancée Casey Vaughn, and his faithful pittie Tank. He is also survived by his sister Bonnie (Terry) Hancock of Florida, his brother and sisters-in-law, Stephen (Kathy) Bellin, Cathy (Al) Ruppersberger, Donald Bellin, Trish (John) Dorsey, many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his mother and father-in-law Grace and Kenneth Bellin.

Services will be held at Haight Funeral Home and Chapel on Monday, November 3rd, 2025, with a visitation at 1pm followed by a Memorial Service at 2pm.
